Sony approached FloatLeft to fix their Crackle Roku app that was plagued by a terrible user experience. I was enlisted to go screen-by-screen and solve 3 issues: solve the navigational issues, give the app a more cohesive feel, and add in more features and screens. The project took about 4 months, and I think we succeeded on every measure.
Fun fact, we worked on this channel a few months after the Sony / North Korea hacking that almost started a war. They were obsessed with security to the point every employee had to get a background check. Even if they weren't working directly on the app.
